Cars of the World is a personal project of car photography by international architectural photographer Jonathan Taylor. The images form a series of photographic essays through which the unique car culture in each of the countries is explored. The cars are photographed in precisely controlled compositions with the architecture and urban infrastructure forming an integral part of the photographs. Cars of Cuba is the first completed project, soon to be followed by Cars of Iceland. The other portfolios currently form ideas and work in progress, exploring the way in which car photography can express something of the aesthetic and cultural idiosyncrasies of the world.
